Boss Burger is the original food trailer in the Boss Hospitality fleet, and we're looking for an experienced Trailer Manager to join our growing team.
This isn't a standard hospitality manager role.
We need someone who can take the Boss Burger trailer, a team and an event brief and own the whole operation, from prep and towing to leading the service and getting the trailer home safely.
If you naturally take charge when things get busy, keep your team moving and don't need someone standing over you, we want to hear from you.
What you'll be responsible for:
Trailer & Towing
Safely tow, hitch, position and reverse trailer to and from events.
Complete pre-trip trailer and vehicle safety checks.
Setup and pack down the trailer, with equipment and stock secured.
Identify and report maintenance issues.
Keep the trailer presented to Boss Burger standards.
Food & Prep
Complete event prep and trailer loading, checking stock against the event brief.
Make sure food is correctly stored, labelled and rotated.
Manage stock through service and keep waste to a minimum.
Jump onto any station when needed, including the grill.
Maintain Boss Burger product and presentation standards.
Event Service
Take ownership of the trailer and lead the team through high-volume service.
Allocate staff to the right positions and monitor ticket times and workflow.
Solve problems quickly when the pressure is on.
Liaise professionally with event organisers.
Close out sales on Square and complete end-of-shift cash-up.
Lead crews ranging from small teams to larger event teams.
Train new staff, delegate effectively and keep everyone accountable.
Set the standard for attitude, cleanliness and work ethic.
Handle performance issues when required.
Food Safety & Cleanliness
Own food safety on your trailer, including temperature control and secure handling.
Make sure cleaning and sanitation procedures and food safety checks are completed.
Keep the trailer clean and organised during service, and fully cleaned and reset after every event.
What must you have
Real-world experience towing and reversing trailers (essential).
Solid hospitality management or leadership experience.
Availability to work weekends, including early starts, late finishes and travel across SE Queensland (essential).
A Food Safety Supervisor certificate, or willingness to get one.
Ability to stand for long shifts and lift stock and equipment.
Food trailer experience is highly desirable.
The person we're looking for
Calm when things get chaotic, and solves problems instead of panicking.
Leads a team with a positive, can do attitude.
Organised, proactive and makes decisions without constantly asking permission.
High standards for cleanliness and food safety.
Happy to jump on the grill or help wherever needed.
Extremely Reliable.
Wants to grow with the business, not just clock in and clock out.
Have your own tow vehicle?
Even better.
A vehicle allowance is paid when you use your own suitable tow vehicle for Boss Burger work.
What we offer?
A genuine leadership position where your performance actually matters.
Pay commensurate with experience, we operate under the Fast Food Award.
Vehicle allowance for eligible staff, using their own tow vehicle.
Variety: festivals, sporting events, markets, private functions and major events.
Training, development and real career progression in a growing Sunshine Coast hospitality group.
A supportive leadership team.
This is the important part
We want someone who sees the trailer as their responsibility.
If the trailer isn't ready, you fix it.
If the team is struggling, you lead them.
If service falls behind, you find the bottleneck.
If stock is running low, you act.
If something goes wrong, you don't panic.
