Our client is a well established company that provides tiling and painting services to some of the biggest names in residential and commercial construction in south east Queensland This is a Administration/ Scheduling role based at their Yatala office.
The successful person will be heavily involved in the day-to-day coordination of construction projects and will act as an important communication link between builders/site supervisors and their internal installation/subcontractor teams.
Key responsibilities Answering and making a high volume of phone calls with builders, site supervisors, subcontractors and installation teams Acting as a key communication point between builder/site supervisors and our installation teams Coordinating project schedules, site bookings, installation dates and follow-up works Communicating daily with their subcontractors and installation teams (including Mandarin-speaking ones) to ensure instructions and site requirements are clearly understood Monitoring project progress and proactively following up outstanding matters Identifying scheduling conflicts,
site-readiness issues and other project problems and communicating them quickly to the relevant people Maintaining accurate project records and ensuring key information is not missed Following up incomplete work, rectification items and outstanding actions until they are closed Requirements Must be fluent, professional spoken and written English, with excellent telephone communication skills and the confidence to communicate directly with builders, site supervisors and trades Must be fluent spoken and written Mandarin, as the role requires daily communication with Mandarin-speaking subcontractors, installation teams and colleagues Strong logical thinking and problem-solving ability Very strong attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to handle pressure, competing priorities and a high volume of communication without losing track of outstanding items A strong sense of responsibility and ownership A proactive working style - someone who follows things up without constantly being reminded Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new project management systems quickly Permanent residents or Australian citizens with full working rights
