Swan Heavy Haulage is seeking an experienced Heavy Haulage Float Driver to join our team on a full-time basis.
Based in Wamuran, QLD ****, this role is integral to our operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of heavy equipment and materials across Queensland and beyond.
As a Heavy Haulage Float Driver, you will be responsible for operating specialised heavy vehicles, managing complex logistics, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism on every journey.
The role will require someone who is able to load and unload plant confidently, perform local and interstate journeys, Confidence operating large prime mover and combination (T908 + Dolly and Quad Float), Assist with yard duties including preparation of equipment for transport, cleaning up/putting equipment away, washing of trucks trailers and equipment,Key responsibilitiesOperating and maintaining heavy haulage float vehicles in compliance with all road transport regulations and company safety protocolsPlanning and executing efficient routes whilst adhering to load restrictions, road regulations, and delivery schedulesConducting thorough vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptlySecuring and managing heavy loads safely using appropriate equipment and techniquesCommunicating effectively with dispatch, clients, and site supervisors to ensure smooth operationsMaintaining detailed logbooks and documentation in accordance with legal requirements and company proceduresAdhering strictly to fatigue management laws and working hour regulationsDemonstrating a commitment to safety on all occasions, including participation in safety briefings and continuous improvement initiativesSupporting other team members and contributing to a positive workplace cultureWhat we're looking forCurrent Open Heavy Combination Licence (HC)
