Tomingley Gold Operations (TGO) is seeking experienced tradespeople to join our Underground Maintenance team at our residential mine site in the Central West NSW region.
If you're ready to trade long FIFO swings and travel time for a more balanced lifestyle, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
We also welcome tradespeople looking to make the transition into mining, with underground hard rock experience highly regarded but not essential for the right candidate.
Reporting to the Underground Maintenance Supervisors, you will play an important role in maintaining and repairing our underground mobile equipment fleet, supporting safe, reliable and efficient mining operations.
About the Roles
Depending on your trade, your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out scheduled servicing, inspections, maintenance and repairs on underground mobile equipment
Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
Conducting preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and availability
Assisting with equipment installations, modifications and component change-outs
Maintaining accurate maintenance and repair records
Working collaboratively with the Underground Maintenance and Operations teams




Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with TGO procedures and standards
About You
We are looking for tradespeople who have:
A relevant trade qualification, including - Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Plant Mechanic and Auto Electrician
Underground hard rock mining equipment experience is highly regarded but not essential
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
A willingness to learn and develop your skills within the mining industry
Auto Electricians will also require:
Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology
Air Conditioning Licence preferred but not essential
Strong experience diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic systems on mobile equipment

About Us
Tomingley Gold Mine, owned and operated by West Australian based Alkane Resources Ltd, is situated near the village of Tomingley, 50 km south of Dubbo in Central Recent South Wales.
Our mining operation includes both underground and open-cut mines, as well as a processing plant on-site that is responsible for producing gold bullion.
The mine's workforce consists of approximately 250 permanent employees who hold various roles in professional, technical, mining, processing, and trades.
One significant development for the Tomingley Gold Mine is the approval of both an extension to our underground mine and a new open-cut mine located 3 km to the south of the existing Tomingley deposits.
This development approval and expansion will see a mine life beyond ****.
