Follow and maintain the construction schedule.
Coordinate trades to ensure work is completed in the correct sequence and avoid delays.Key responsibilitiesBook, coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trades including earthworks, concreting, framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical, plastering, tiling, painting, flooring, landscaping and final worksInspect workmanship at every stage.
Ensure construction complies with approved plans, specifications, building standards and company quality requirements.
Identify defects early and arrange rectificationEnsure trades are working from the latest approved plans, engineering drawings, selections and specifications.
Review drawings before construction and raise any discrepanciesCoordinate required inspections, engineering inspections, council requirements and certification throughout construction.
Ensure work is ready before inspections are bookedMaintain a protected workplace and ensure subcontractors comply with WHS requirements, site safety procedures, SWMS and relevant legislation.
Report hazards, incidents and unsafe practicesCheck that materials are delivered on time and are correct, undamaged and suitable for the job.
Coordinate deliveries and storage to prevent damage or delaysIdentify additional works, discrepancies or client-requested changes.




Notify the office before proceeding where approval or pricing is requiredMonitor rework, wastage, additional labour and variations to help control construction costs.
