With a strong and supportive leadership team, the organisation is continuing to grow and provides genuine opportunities for professionals looking to broaden their leadership experience and progress their career in the community services sector.About the opportunityWe are seeking an experienced Interim Manager, Children & Families Programs to provide leadership across two established early intervention and family-focused service streams for an initial ***** week engagement, commencing as soon as possible.This is an opportunity for an experienced leader who can hit the ground running, provide stability and direction across two different team environments, and support the continued delivery of high-quality outcomes for children and families.You will oversee a mixed portfolio, including an experienced team of early intervention practitioners, alongside a recently established team working within a family-focused service.
You will be well supported by your direct manager, peers and a strong back-office team, including administration support.For the right person, there may be an opportunity to apply for a permanent position.Key detailsPosition: Interim Manager, Children & Families ProgramsLocation: Upper North ShoreEngagement: Casual, approximately 12 weeksStart: ASAPHourly rate: $***** per hour + super + salary packagingTravel: Some travel may be required across the Northern Sydney, Northern Beaches and Hills District areas, with travel expenses reimbursedPotential: Opportunity to apply for a permanent positionSupport: Strong support from your direct manager, leadership peers and back-office administrationAbout the roleProviding day-to-day leadership,



guidance and oversight to multidisciplinary children and family services teamsSupporting practitioners to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed and family-centred servicesCoaching, mentoring and developing team members to build capability and confidenceEnsuring programs are delivered in line with organisational policies, relevant legislation, contractual requirements and best practiceMonitoring program performance, KPIs, outcomes and service delivery against agreed targetsSupporting teams to work effectively with children, young people and their families using a whole-of-family approachMonitoring and contributing to program logic, outcomes measurement and reportingIdentifying and addressing operational risks, service delivery issues and emerging practice needsSupporting effective stakeholder relationships and team-oriented practice across internal and external servicesProviding regular reporting and updates to the Executive ManagerAbout youA Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services or a related disciplineDemonstrated formal leadership and people management experience within a relevant children, families, community services or early intervention programExperience leading practitioners delivering services to children and whole familiesStrong understanding of child protection legislation, safeguarding and mandatory reportingExperience managing program KPIs, performance measures and service outcomesUnderstanding of program logic, outcomes measurement and reporting requirementsStrong operational and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing prioritiesExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsThe ability to build trust quickly and establish credibility with an experienced teamA collaborative and strengths-based leadership approachThe confidence to work autonomously and make sound decisions in an interim leadership capacityA current NSW Working with Children Check, Full Drivers License and ability to commence ASAP
