As we continue to grow, we're looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to partner closely with our Property, Projects and Facilities teams, supporting leasing transactions, development projects and strategic business initiatives across ANZ.
This is an excellent opportunity for a property-focused lawyer looking to step into, or further develop, their in‐house career within a fast‐paced, multi-site business.
The Role
Reporting into the Legal team, you'll provide practical, commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of property and leasing matters while partnering with key stakeholders throughout the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating leasing and property documentation, including agreements for lease, leases, assignments, renewals and variations
Supporting property acquisitions, development projects and strategic growth initiatives
Providing pragmatic legal advice to Property, Projects and Facilities teams across Australia and Current Zealand
Managing property-related legal risks and disputes




Working collaboratively with business leaders and stakeholders to achieve commercial outcomes
Supporting the wider Legal team on general commercial and business initiatives as required
About You
We're looking for a lawyer with strong property and leasing experience who enjoys partnering with the business and finding practical solutions.
You will bring:
Around 3+ years' post-qualification experience in property law
Strong experience reviewing, negotiating and advising on commercial and retail leasing matters, ideally within a fast-paced multi-site environment (retail, QSR etc)
Experience acting for tenants, landlords or multi-site operators
A commercial mindset and the ability to balance legal risk with business outcomes
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
An interest in building a long-term career in‐house, or experience already working within an in‐house legal environment
