What You'll Be Doing
As a Plumbing Inspector, you'll use your technical expertiseto help protect public health, ensure compliance with industrystandards, and support quality development outcomes across theregion.
Key responsibilities include:
Assessing and processing plumbing permitapplications
Conducting inspections of plumbing and drainagework
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation,standards and Council requirements
Providing practical advice and technical guidance toplumbers, builders, contractors and members of thecommunity
Identifying and managing non-compliant works
Preparing reports, inspection records and compliancedocumentation
Contributing to continuous improvement initiativeswithin the team
What Will Help You Succeed
We're looking for an experienced plumbing professional withstrong technical knowledge, sound judgement, and the ability tocommunicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
Most importantly, you'll bring:
Significant plumbing industry experience
Practical knowledge of plumbing and drainagesystems




A commitment to public safety and quality outcomes
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
A customer-focused and solutions-oriented approach
You'll also need:
A White Card (or the ability to obtain one prior tocommencement)
A current Queensland "C" Class Driver Licence
The ability to obtain required regulatoryaccreditations within 12 months of commencement (fullsupport and training will be provided)
Local government experience is highly regarded butnot essential.
