We employ a local workforce that manufactures the best product – both in quality and service.This position is based on-site at our Head Office & Manufacturing facility in Port Melbourne, just moments from the CBD and West Gate Freeway.About the roleWe are looking for an experienced and reliable Machine Operator, ideally with Extrusion experience, to join our manufacturing team on a permanent, full-time basis.The role will work a two-week roster pattern averaged over the fortnight:3 x 12 (11.4) hour shifts (6am to 6pm) worked across three days (Mon to Wed)4 x 12 hour shifts (6pm to 6am) worked across 4 nights (Mon to Thurs)This pattern is 76 ordinary hours, with 3.8 hours of required overtime a fortnight applied on the Thursday shift once ordinary hours have been reached.
*Until competent, you may be required to work only on day shift 6am-6pm before moving to rotating roster.What you will be doing:Adhering to safety, quality, housekeeping & teamwork behavioursSetting up, loading,



and unloading extrusion lines making a range of flexible cablesMonitoring our extrusion lines - undertaking inline quality checks and reporting of any non-conformance.Recording the extrusion process data in ERP systems/forms.Troubleshooting on production machinery.Making adjustments to ensure production targets are obtained and efficiency is continually improved.Some manual handling, including lifting of cable and materials (up to 20kg) as required.About youIf you have some experience as a Machine Operator in a dynamic manufacturing environment, or are keen to learn, are reliable and after a fresh challenge in **** with a stable, growing employer – then these are the opportunities for you!
