Intermediate to Senior Accountant — North Sydney
VLL Partners is a boutique chartered accounting firm in North Sydney.
We look after many client groups — companies, trusts, sole traders, partnerships and SMSFs — handling their tax, accounting, ASIC compliance and tax advisory services.
You'll deal with clients' compliance work, with an avenue towards being involved with the advisory work with experience.
What you'll actually be doing
Preparing and reviewing individual, company, trust, partnership & SMSF tax returns
Preparing BAS and IAS, and resolving GST treatment questions as they come up
Division 7A, trust distribution resolutions, CGT calculations and year-end tax planning
ASIC corporate secretarial work including Annual Company Statements




Supporting and occasionally reviewing the work of junior staff.
What we're looking for
CA completed, or in-progress
3+ years in Australian public practice across a mixed client base
Confidence preparing a full set of accounts and a tax return with minimal review
Working knowledge of Division 7A, trust distributions, GST & CGT.
Clear, plain written and spoken English, and the judgement to know when to elevate something
We're versatile on where you sit between intermediate and senior — the scope of the role, and the salary, will be set to match the person we find.
