At CityVet Brushy Creek, we're a locally owned and veterinarian-led practice that believes in kindness, teamwork, and fear-free-minded patient care.
We combine general practice with urgent care, so you'll have the opportunity to use your skills across a variety of cases while working alongside a team that values both its patients and its people.We see cats, dogs, and small mammals, and we're looking for an experienced, surgery‐trained Veterinary Technician who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a supportive, patient‐focused team.Must have a minimum of 1 year of veterinary experience and surgery experience.What you'll doAssist veterinarians with appointments, procedures, surgery, anesthesia, and patient carePrepare patients for surgery, administer anesthesia, take radiographs, and collect laboratory samplesMonitor patients during and after proceduresSafely restrain animals for examinations and proceduresCollect blood, urine, fecal, and other samples for testingPerform in-house laboratory testingAdminister medications, vaccines, anesthesia, and other treatments as directed by the veterinarianCommunicate with clients regarding medical history, treatment plans, medications, and home careHelp keep communication flowing between the treatment area, doctors,
and front deskAssist the Client Service team when neededHelp maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment areaWhat we're looking forAt least 1 year of veterinary industry experience including surgery trainedHigh school diploma or GEDAt least 18 years of ageComfortable and knowledgeable with secure animal restraintKnowledge of veterinary medical terminology and medicationsStrong communication and listening skillsOrganized, dependable, and self-motivatedTeam-oriented with a willingness to jump in wherever neededAbility to lift 50 lbs to waist heightAbility to frequently stand, bend, walk, lift, carry, and reachIf you're looking for a team where you can use your skills, continue to grow, and be part of a clinic that values both its patients and its people, we'd love to hear from you!
