We're looking for an experienced and detail-focused Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team at the Michael Hill Support Office in Brisbane.In this role, you'll support the accurate and timely processing of invoices, staff expense claims, supplier account creation and maintenance, and supplier payments.
You'll also work closely with stores, departments and external stakeholders to resolve accounts payable queries and keep everything running smoothly.What you'll be doingProcessing invoices, including coding and authorisation checksEntering invoices into the correct entity within the finance systemMaintaining invoice spreadsheets across countries and storesProcessing monthly rent and store repair invoicesReviewing and processing staff expense claimsMonitoring the Accounts Payable inbox and responding to queriesLiaising with stores and departments to resolve invoice issuesReconciling creditor statements and maintaining supplier accountsProcessing local and international supplier paymentsSupporting the wider Finance team when requiredWhat we're looking for3+ years' experience in an Accounts Payable rolePrior experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)Experience using OCR or invoice automation tools, with APValet experience highly regardedExperience managing shared or multiple finance inboxes and responding to supplier and internal queriesIntermediate to advanced Excel skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detail, particularly with numerical informationThe ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesA cooperative and adaptable approach to working within a teamA positive attitude and willingness to support others when neededExperience working with both local and international suppliers is highly regardedWhat's on offerThis is an opportunity to join our Brisbane Support Office and become part of a cooperative Finance team.
