YIMBA Legal & Consulting (YIMBA) is seeking a high-performing lawyer to join our growing Sydney-based team.
This role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and clients across a diverse range of legal and consulting matters.
We are open to candidates with 2–5+ years' experience including more experienced lawyers seeking greater autonomy, client exposure and involvement in more complex, high-impact matters.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering commercially focused legal advice and consulting services across major projects, government engagements and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander matters.
Key responsibilities
Deliver high-quality legal and commercial advice across a range of matters
Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and project documentation
Provide advisory services in construction, infrastructure and commercial contexts
Support and manage legal and consulting workstreams (depending on experience)
Undertake legal research and prepare concise advice
Support project delivery including contract administration and commercial management
Contribute to business development, bids and client relationship management
Engage with clients, industry stakeholders and community representatives
Conduct research on legal issues, statutes and regulations




Assist to manage and develop legal precedents
About you
2–5+ years' experience
Ability to deliver high-quality legal and commercial advice
Capability to draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and project documentation
Experience in construction, infrastructure and commercial contexts
Legal research and advice preparation skills
Project delivery experience including contract administration and commercial management
Business development and client relationship management capability
