Senior Environmental & Land Access Compliance SpecialistLocation: Perth Office 95 William St, WA, AU8 Oct ****We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Environmental and Land Access Compliance Specialist at our Perth Office on a two - year maximum-term basis , providing field-based assurance across Clean Energy Link construction activities.While this recruitment process is focused on our immediate maximum-term opportunity, we also anticipate potential future permanent opportunities within this area.
We welcome applications from candidates interested in either the current maximum-term role, future permanent opportunities, or both.In this role, you will work closely with the Social Performance and Approvals function, project delivery team and contractors to ensure environmental approval conditions, management requirements and land access commitments are understood and effectively implemented.
You will combine practical onsite experience in major construction or infrastructure projects with strong environmental expertise and a compliance-focused mindset.Senior Environmental and Land Access Compliance Specialist – Perth CBD - Two-year Maximum TermWe currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Environmental and Land Access Compliance Specialist at our Perth Office on a two - year maximum-term basis , providing field-based assurance across Clean Energy Link construction activities.Your Role in ActionProviding field-based environmental and land access compliance inspections across construction activitiesVerify that approval conditions, management plans and actions , site control s and Western Power requirements are understood and effectively implemented by contractorsUndertak ing site inspections and assurance activities, identify and raise emerging risks and drive the timely close-out of corrective actionsEstablishing effective relationships with contractors by providing practical,
risk-based advice on conditions and controlsMaintain accurate and traceable inspection records and compliance evidence, ensure detailed and accurate reporting and participate in lessons learnedMonitor ing trends and provide field feedback to identify systemic issues, improve tools, processes and delivery practicesCompletion of audits against environmental complianceThis is an opportunity to play an active role in major transmission infrastructure projects, influence how work is delivered in the field and contribute to continual improvement across Western Power's environmental and land management practice.What Makes You a Great FitDemonstrated experience in environmental compliance and management, experience within linear infrastructure, construction, resources or a comparable environmentExperience conducting field inspections, completing assurance and verification activities, including managing corrective actions to closureExperience assessing compliance against environmental approvals, licences, permits, management plans, and legislative requirements .
Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, concise, and defensible audit reports.Sound knowledge of environmental approvals, environmental management plans, audit and regulatory reporting in the context of WA legislationExperience using GIS or digital reporting tools to collect evidenceThe ability to interpret and communicate complex obligations and provide practical,
risk-based advice to project delivery teams and contractorsWhat You'll NeedAbility to undertake frequent field work in regional or remote areasA bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or other relevant disciplineExperience in utilities or linear infrastructure , as well as contract delivery, contractor performance monitoring or land access compliance , will be highly regarded.By joining Western Power, you will contribute to powering a cleaner energy future.
