We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team at our Darra Head Office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with 2–3 years of experience who is looking to transition from public practice into a commercial accounting role.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to expand their skills in financial accounting, manufacturing cost accounting and business analysis within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Corporate Accountant, you will provide day-to-day accounting support across the Dy-Mark Group, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
You will play an important role in month‐end processes, reconciliations, BAS preparation, cost accounting support and cash flow monitoring while working closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
Key Responsibilities
Provide daily and month‐end financial accounting support.
Prepare daily and month‐end bank reconciliations.
Assist with month‐end reporting, journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS).
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Assist with budgeting and financial analysis activities.
Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required.
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.




Support continuous improvement of accounting processes, controls and financial procedures.
Manufacturing Cost Accounting Support
Support cost accounting activities within the manufacturing environment.
Assist with inventory reconciliations and stock valuation processes.
Support the preparation of operational and financial reports for management.
Assist with maintaining accurate product costing information.
Business Support
Monitor daily cash flow positions and financing facilities.
Assist with working capital monitoring and reporting.
Support property acquisitions, disposals and settlement activities as required.
Maintain confidentiality of financial and commercial information.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business, with an Accounting major, or nearing completion.
2–3 years' experience in a business services role within a public practice firm or similar accounting role.
Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
Solid attention to detail and accuracy.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical and problem‐solving abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Exposure to manufacturing accounting through industry experience or client work.
Experience with ERP systems such as Pronto Xi or demonstrated ability for learning new systems.
