These are hands-on labouring roles where no two days are the same, supporting essential work across roads, drainage, concreting and other civil maintenance activities.As part of a crew, you will carry out general labouring duties, rotate through different tasks, support your workmates when needed, follow instructions from the Crew Leader or Team Leader, and make sure jobs are completed safely and to a high standard.
Experience in roads, drainage,concretingor similar outdoor work is highly regarded.We are looking for people who turn up on time, get stuck in, and take pride in doinga good job.
You will be working out in the community, so a respectful, down-to-earth approach when dealing with the public is key.
Some after-hours and weekend workmayberequiredto complete maintenance activities, and you will use a phone or tablet to log basic job information.These roles offer steady Council work, training, and real opportunities to progress into higher duties, specialistrolesor leadership positions over time.

we would like to hear from you.Qualifications and ExperienceOur ideal candidate will have:MandatoryConstruction Industry White Card ****** QLD)Soundoral, written communication, numeracy and interpersonal skills with the ability toeffectively and professionally engage with others.Effective time and workload management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team to obtain teamobjectives.Demonstrated experience role modelling a positive safety culture and adherence to the Health Safety Management Systems through visible leadership and exercising due diligence and management of compliance and legislative obligations.Current 'MR' Class Licence (Preferred for Maintenance Labourer).
