We work across mining, industrial and construction projects and are known for our strong safety focus, quality standards and experienced team.The RoleDue to continued growth, MCA Engineering is seeking experienced Crane Operators and Riggers to join our team on a major underground construction project in Central West NSW.Depending on your experience and qualifications, your duties may include:Operating cranes in an underground construction environmentRigging, lifting, moving and positioning equipment and structural componentsPreparing loads and selecting suitable lifting and rigging equipmentCompleting lifting operations in accordance with lift plans and site proceduresInspecting lifting equipment and ensuring it is protected and suitable for useConducting pre-start inspections and routine crane checksIdentifying and reporting equipment faults or maintenance requirementsCommunicating clearly with doggers, supervisors and construction crewsCompleting all work safely and in accordance with site requirementsAbout YouPrevious experience as a Crane Operator or Rigger in an underground, mining or construction environmentCurrent High Risk Work Licence appropriate to your roleRelevant crane, rigging and dogging qualifications and ticketsStrong understanding of lift plans, lifting procedures and safe equipment operationAbility to inspect lifting equipment and complete pre-start checksAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills and commitment to safetyAvailability to work a 2:1 roster across day and night shiftsAbility to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
