The hospital encompasses 185 beds, 6 operating theatres, 10 bed ICU, with associated rehabilitation, medical and surgical Wards.
Our services include two major medical centres, a dedicated mental health unit, an in office cancer centre including radiation oncology, radiology practice and pathology laboratory.Maitland Private Hospital is a key facility within the Healthe Care Group.
We are a private healthcare provider of choice, driving innovation and clinical best practice to the services we provide.Your new role as Occupational Therapist:Maitland Private Hospital gives skilled clinicians a platform to make tangible difference to service user's quality of life and improve health outcomes.




We currently have a casual opportunity for a highly motivated and committed Occupational Therapist to join our friendly and supportive Allied Health team.About you (essential criteria):Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.Ability to work individually and in a team environmentDemonstrated ability to manage a clinical caseloadCurrent unrestricted AHPRA registration as an Occupational TherapistDemonstrated understanding of the role of an Occupational Therapist within a multidisciplinary team.Strong, collaborative interpersonal communication skills with well-developed verbal and written communication skills.Previous experience of working with an adult rehabilitation caseload.Immunisation evidence and serology report in accordance with NSW Health.Australian permanent resident status or equivalent work rights required.Experience of complex discharge planningExperience of working within inpatient/day rehabilitation and surgical clinical areas.Experience of conducting home assessments and modificationsSound understanding of FIM scoring and FIM trainedPay level will be dependent on experience in line with the NSW Private Hospitals award.Healthe Care is an equal opportunity employer and offers employees a number of perks including:Super & Novated Lease Salary Sacrifice optionsFitness Passport*Due to the large volume of applicants, only successful candidates will be contacted.
