Casual Security Officer – Power Station SiteDiamond Protection is an established Australian security provider supplying professional security services to government, utility and critical infrastructure clients.
We're building a reliable, high-calibre team for a major power generation site at Swanbank, near Ipswich.About the roleThis is not a standard static guard or crowd control role.
The site needs officers who are as comfortable at a computer and managing systems.
You'll be the first point of contact for staff, contractors, visitors and emergency services, so presentation, communication and attention to detail matter.The position is casual, but it comes with an ongoing roster and a predictable number of shifts each week.
The site runs 24/7 on 12-hour day and night shifts (5:30am–5:30pm and 5:30pm–5:30am), including weekends and public holidays.What you'll be doingMonitoring CCTV and remote camera feeds across multiple sitesManaging an electronic access control system, including alarms, zone access, issuing access cards and locks, and evacuation reportingDoing regular foot and vehicle patrols, and unlocking and locking gates and buildings (a site vehicle is provided)Keeping accurate daily logs, key registers and equipment removal registersManaging site bookings and running site inductions for visitors and current personnelActing as the primary site contact for emergency services (QPS, QFRS, QAS)



and assisting with emergency response, lockdowns and evacuationsGiving first aid and reporting health, safety and environmental incidents using the client's reporting formsAbout youStrong administration skills and a high level of accuracy in record keepingConfident with computers, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and learning new softwareExperience with CCTV and access control systems is highly regardedExperience in power generation, heavy industry, mining or other critical infrastructure is highly regardedProfessional presentation, clear written and verbal communication, and a customer-focused approachCalm, sound judgement in an emergencyReliable and available for a 24/7 roster, including nights, weekends and public holidaysCurrent Queensland Security Licence: Security Officer (Unarmed) and MonitoringCurrent driver's licenceCurrent First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR, or the ability to obtain them before you startGeneral Construction Induction Card (White Card), or the ability to obtain it before you startAbility to pass pre-employment checksWhat we offerLevel 4 casual pay under the Security Services Industry Award ****, plus the Award's penalty rates for nights, weekends and public holidaysAn ongoing roster with consistent shiftsCompany uniform and PPE suppliedA professional, well-run site where your skills are valued
