We are seeking a reliable and organised Shelter Support and Communications Officer to provide day to day support to our Shelter Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative and practical support to the Shelter Supervisor
Assist with creating Facebook and Instagram content that is clear, professional and visually appealing
Help share animals in care, adoption opportunities and shelter updates
Monitor social media messages and comments and elevate enquiries as required
Assist with emails, messages and general correspondence
Support communication with adopters, volunteers and members of the public
Assist during busy periods or shelter events under direction
Contribute to a positive, respectful and animal-focused shelter environment
Selection Criteria
Essential:
Good written and verbal communication skills
Confidence using social media platforms, with an eye for clear, professional and visually appealing presentation
Basic computer skills (email, documents, online platforms)
Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
Reliable and adaptable approach
Interest in animal welfare
Desirable:
Experience in an animal shelter or animal welfare environment
Experience supporting a supervisor or small team
