The organisation operates within the legal sector, focusing on litigation and dispute resolution.About the roleThis role is for an experienced litigation lawyer to manage a broad range of commercial and civil disputes, particularly claims under the Australian Consumer Law.
The successful candidate will provide practical, commercially focused advice, take ownership of matters, and work closely with Partners, counsel, clients, and other stakeholders.Key responsibilitiesManage and assist with commercial and civil litigation matters from initial advice through to resolutionAdvise clients on dispute strategy, prospects, risk, evidence, settlement options, and commercially practical outcomesDraft pleadings, affidavits, submissions, advices, correspondence, and other court documentsConduct legal research and analysis, monitoring relevant case law and legislative developmentsPrepare briefs to counsel and experts, liaising effectively with barristers and opposing solicitorsAttend directions hearings, mediations,
