Shape how Zip manages enterprise and third party risk, strengthening governance and operational resilience as the business continues to growBring deep enterprise or operational risk experience, with strong capability across governance, risk frameworks, third party risk and regulatory expectationsSydney based individual contributor role with the opportunity to influence leaders and teams across Zip AustraliaWrite your story with a career at ZipJoin Zip's Risk and Compliance team and play an key role in helping our Australian business grow sustainably, with strong risk management, governance and resilience at its core.As Senior Risk and Compliance Manager, you'll be a trusted Line 2 risk partner with a broad remit spanning enterprise risk and compliance management, governance and reporting, third party risk management and operational resilience.Reporting to the Director, Senior Risk and Compliance, you'll combine strategic thinking with a willingness to get close to the detail.
You'll help mature our risk frameworks, strengthen oversight and reporting, and turn complex risk and regulatory requirements into practical guidance that helps the business make well informed decisions.What you'll ownSupport effective governance across key risk and compliance forums, providing clear, timely reporting and insights that enable informed decision makingAnalyse incidents, issues and complaints to identify trends, material weaknesses and emerging risks, translating your findings into practical recommendationsHelp evolve Zip's enterprise risk and compliance policies, frameworks and procedures, while providing Line 2 oversight of their implementation and effectivenessStrengthen the governance of key risk and compliance artefacts, helping ensure frameworks, policies and standards remain current and effectiveBuild, implement and monitor Zip Australia's Third Party Risk Management program, providing practical guidance to business leaders and first line teamsOversee third party risk assessments and performance, identifying emerging risks and advising on appropriate remediationDevelop meaningful measures and reporting that provide visibility of third party risk performance, compliance and effectivenessMonitor evolving regulatory expectations relating to third party risk and help translate change into practical actions for the businessSupport Zip's operational resilience capability through critical operations assessments, disruption tolerance considerations, scenario analysis and testingContribute to business continuity and crisis management frameworks, including oversight, monitoring and continuous improvementDeep dive into incidents and emerging risk events when required, bringing structure,



critical thinking and a strong risk lens to complex situationsAct as a trusted risk advisor to first line teams, building strong relationships and helping teams understand how good risk management supports sustainable commercial outcomesIdentify opportunities to improve the way we manage risk and compliance, including thoughtful use of AI, automation and new toolsWhat you'll bring to the teamZipsters work on a broad range of initiatives, and our skills and experiences all look a little different.
What really matters to us is that you're a great fit with our four Values, and have a desire to learn and grow.So whether you meet some or all of the desirable attributes below, we'd still love to hear from you:Significant experience across enterprise risk, operational risk or compliance within financial services, fintech or another highly regulated environmentStrong practical knowledge of risk governance, including risk committees, senior stakeholder engagement and regulatory interactionsExperience designing, implementing or operating enterprise risk or third party risk management frameworksPractical knowledge of operational resilience, business continuity and crisis managementStrong understanding of risk and control concepts, regulatory expectations and contemporary risk management practicesExperience conducting risk assessments and control reviews, alongside incident, issue and risk reportingStrong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the confidence to work with complex information and data to identify meaningful insightsClear and influential written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing risk reporting and presentations for senior stakeholdersThe ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities in a fast moving environmentRelevant tertiary qualifications in finance, business, law or a related disciplineA mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.An aptitude for identifying and managing risks.
