You'll lead three coordinators across water, waste and urban services, and build the asset management and forward planning the function has never had.Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Leading and mentoring three coordinators across water,



waste and urban servicesDeveloping long‐term asset management and refurbishment plansPreparing statutory reports, business cases and correspondence for CouncilManaging budgets, contracts and tenders for maintenance and capital worksBuilding strong relationships with contractors, government agencies and the communityBalancing strategic planning with hands‐on operational oversightRepresenting Council on infrastructure matters with the Director, GM and CouncillorsWhat You'll Bring to the TableTo qualify, you'll need tertiary qualifications in civil or environmental engineering, environmental science or a related discipline, experience managing water, wastewater and/or waste services.The following will be highly valued:Qualifications in Project Management, Leadership or Asset ManagementKnowledge of environmental legislation relating to waste and water supplyMembership of a relevant professional organisationA broad understanding of water, waste and urban servicesTechnical expertise matters, but leadership makes the difference.
