About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Volunteer Coordinator to support the growth and day-to-day coordination of volunteer services across Eastern Health.
Working as part of a small team of coordinators, this role supports the full volunteer lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, engagement, recognition and retention, while ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
Working closely with stakeholders across Eastern Health and the broader volunteer sector, you will help strengthen partnerships, enhance volunteer experience and promote the valuable contribution volunteers make to Eastern Health.
In this role you will:
Coordinate volunteer recruitment, screening, onboarding and training
Support, engage and recognise volunteers across Eastern Health
Develop and maintain volunteer policies, procedures, resources and reporting
Manage volunteer communications, including newsletters and surveys
Coordinate volunteer recognition programs and events
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external volunteer networks
Lead meaningful work that positively impacts patients, consumer s and communities
Opportunity to shape and grow volunteering across one of Victoria's largest health services
The position is primarily located at Box Hill Hospital but travel to other campuses is required from time to time.
