Lead Maintenance Excellence in a Successful Drilling BusinessStar Drilling is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Managerto lead our maintenance, asset management, Depot workshop, and inventory functions across our drilling operations.The Maintenance Manager is 50% hands on and 50% leading the mechanical function at Star Drilling's Thomastown Depot, overseeing preventative and proactive maintenance of drilling rigs, support equipment, heavy vehicles and associated plant.
You will supervise a team comprising one Mechanic and one Fitter/Fabricator, manage breakdown and fault response, and take ownership of equipment reliability, availability and operating life.If you are a trade-qualified maintenance professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys a range of fleet and equipment, improving asset performance, and leading teams, we want to hear from you.Key responsibilitiesManaging preventative and corrective maintenance programs across our diverse fleet of drilling rigs, support equipment and mobile plantLeading a team of one mechanic and one fabricator and coordinating the work program for all employees rostered daily to work at the DepotDeveloping maintenance schedules and asset lifecycle plansManaging inventory, critical spares and procurement activitiesMonitoring equipment performance and reducing downtimeEnsuring compliance with OEM, statutory and client requirementsProviding technical support and subject matter expertise to the Management teamEnsuring accurate plant,
