we now have exciting opportunities for Catering Assistants to join our dynamic, production team based at Melbourne Airport.In this role, you'll be an essential part of our operation — picking items for our Chefs to prepare bespoke meals for passengers.Key Responsibilities:Pick and pack selecting the correct food items and quantities for food preparationCheck that orders are accurate, neatly presented and ready for dispatchPortioning, assembling, and packaging meals to specific airline requirementsMeasuring and preparing food items accurately and efficientlyPacking catering equipment and trolleys for in-flight servicesEnsuring food safety and cleanliness standards are consistently metAssisting with general kitchen and production duties as requiredAbout You:We're looking for enthusiastic team members who bring:Experience in food preparation, production, or a similar environmentExcellent attention to detail and ability to follow set proceduresKnowledge of food safety and workplace health & safety practicesA positive, can-do attitude and strong teamwork skillsAvailability to work across a 7-day rotating roster (38 hours per week) including weekends and public holidays, on a weekly rotation between AM and PM shiftsOwn transport will be required (free parking on site)Join Gate Gourmet and be part of a global leader in airline catering where every role contributes to delivering excellence at 35,000 feet.
