This is a part-time position based in Geelong, VIC ****.
As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in protecting our clients' assets, people, and premises.
Your presence and professionalism will be essential in maintaining a safe and secure environment, deterring potential threats, and responding promptly to any security incidents that may arise.Key responsibilitiesPatrol designated areas on foot or by vehicle to monitor for suspicious activity and ensure the security of premisesMonitor and control access to buildings and facilities, checking identification and maintaining visitor logsConduct regular inspections of security systems, alarms, cameras, and lighting to ensure all equipment is functioning correctlyRespond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergency situations in a calm and professional mannerDocument and report all incidents, observations, and activities in writing with accuracy and detailMaintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and provide reassurance to staff and visitorsCommunicate effectively with law enforcement and emergency services when requiredEnsure compliance with all relevant security protocols, procedures, and legislative requirementsAssist clients with enquiries and provide excellent customer service whilst maintaining professional standardsWhat we're looking forCurrent or eligible for a Security Licence issued by Victoria PoliceStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work professionally with clients, colleagues,



and emergency servicesExcellent observational skills and the ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periodsPhysical fitness and the ability to perform patrols on foot or by vehicle in varying weather conditionsReliability and punctuality, with the capacity to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays if requiredProblem-solving abilities and sound judgment to respond appropriately to security threats and incidentsHigh level of integrity and trustworthiness with a strong commitment to confidentialityProficiency in completing written reports and maintaining accurate documentationFirst Aid certification or willingness to obtain it (desirable)Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field (desirable)About usEngage Security Professionals is a leading provider of professional security services specialising in air conditioning and refrigeration facilities security.
