This could be the role for you.We are specifically seeking an experienced medical receptionist who prefers afternoon and evening work and is available to work our closing shifts, generally finishing at approximately 10:00pm.Our extended operating hours mean you can enjoy your mornings and start your workday later.
Whether you have family commitments, school drop-offs, appointments, study, exercise or simply enjoy having your mornings free, this role offers the opportunity to work your afternoons and evenings rather than starting early in the morning.This is an afternoon/evening position and the successful applicant must be genuinely willing and available to work closing shifts until approximately 10:00pm.About youThis role is best suited to an experienced medical receptionist who is confident, capable and comfortable working independently.During our evening shifts, you will need to be able to confidently manage the reception area, assist patients and practitioners, handle enquiries and payments,



resolve issues and complete end-of-day procedures without needing constant supervision.We are looking for someone who:Has at least 1 year of experience in medical reception, preferably within a busy GP, specialist or allied health practiceIs confident working independently and taking responsibility for their shiftHas a strong understanding of medical reception procedures and billingIs experienced with Medicare claiming and patient paymentsHas excellent communication and customer service skillsIs professional, warm and genuinely patient-focusedHas strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skillsCan confidently manage competing priorities in a busy environmentIs reliable, punctual and takes pride in their workUnderstands patient confidentiality and privacy requirementsHas experience using medical practice softwareBest Practice experience is highly regardedIs available for afternoon and evening shifts, including closing shifts until approximately 10:00pmIs flexible to work weekends and public holidays as requiredAbout the roleAs an important member of our reception team, your responsibilities will include:Providing a warm and professional welcome to patientsManaging incoming calls and patient enquiriesScheduling and managing appointmentsProcessing patient payments and Medicare claimsAssisting doctors, nurses, specialists and allied health practitionersManaging patient requests and administrative enquiriesMaintaining accurate patient records and completing data entryMaintaining a clean,
