Aston Equity Ventures is seeking an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper to join our Finance Team on a permanent part-time basis, reporting directly to the CFO.
Aston Equity Ventures has a portfolio of companies operating within the mining and resources industry, with operations spanning Australian and international markets.
This is a 20-hour-per-week role, with the spread of hours across the working week to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
As the role supports international business activities operating approximately 7.5 hours behind Sydney time, some flexibility to provide suitable overlap with international operations will be required.
A work-from-home arrangement is preferred, making this an ideal opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper looking for consistent part time hours and flexibility while being an integral part of a broader finance team.
The Role
Working within the Finance Team and reporting to the CFO, you will support the accurate and timely management of day-to-day bookkeeping and finance activities across a number of companies within the Aston Equity Ventures portfolio.
Responsibilities
Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Processing and allocating transactions
Maintaining accurate general ledger records
Invoicing and payment processing
Supplier and customer account management
Payroll processing and administration
Processing and reconciling multi-currency transactions
Assisting with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Liaising with management and international contacts as required




Supporting the CFO and broader Finance Team as required
General bookkeeping and finance administration
About You
We are looking for someone who is experienced, organised and comfortable working both independently and as part of a finance team.
Essential Requirements
Demonstrated bookkeeping experience
Strong MYOB AccountRight experience
Demonstrated payroll processing and administration experience
Sound understanding of multi-currency accounting and intercompany transactions
Sound understanding of bookkeeping principles and account reconciliations
High attention to detail and accuracy
Good organisational and time-management skills
Confidence working independently in a remote environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly Regarded but Not Essential Experience
