LPC Eggs Temora Pty Ltd, part of the LPC Trading group, operates commercial egg production farms and is seeking dependable and proactive Poultry Farm Hands to join our Temora team.
This hands-on role suits someone who enjoys practical work, caring for animals and being part of a supportive and safety-focused team.
About the Role
As a Poultry Farm Hand, you will assist with the daily care and management of our free-range laying hens, helping to ensure high standards of animal welfare, biosecurity and farm operations.
This is a varied, hands-on role involving the monitoring of hens and egg production systems, cleaning, general farm duties and assisting with the day-to-day operation of the site.
Key Responsibilities
Feeding, watering and monitoring the health and welfare of laying hens.Monitoring egg production and associated equipment.Conducting routine inspections and reporting any issues with equipment or facilities.Assisting with cleaning, maintenance and general farm duties.Maintaining accurate records as required.Working collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient farm operations.Following all workplace health and safety and biosecurity requirements.
About You
We are looking for people who:




Have a strong work ethic and a reliable approach to work.Are physically fit and able to undertake tasks involving extended periods of walking, lifting, bending and other physical farm duties.Can work effectively both as part of a team and independently.Are willing to undertake a variety of farm duties, including cleaning, maintenance and record keeping.Can follow procedures and understand the importance of consistency in maintaining animal welfare and farm standards.Have previous poultry or agricultural experience, although this is not essential as training will be provided.Have the legal right to work in Australia.
Biosecurity & Pre-Employment Requirements
Due to our strict biosecurity requirements, employees must not have birds or pigs at their place of residence.
This is a condition of employment.
Applicants must also be willing to successfully complete a pre-employment urine drug and alcohol screening prior to commencement.
Other pre-employment checks, including reference checks and a medical assessment, may also form part of the recruitment process.
