We are seeking casual Support Workers across metropolitan Melbourne, including the northern, eastern, south eastern and western suburbs.
Our participants live with a range of psychosocial, physical, neurological and intellectual disabilities, with supports ranging from community access to personal care and higher intensity in-home support.
Many have small, consistent support teams, so you will often work regular shifts with the same people.Key responsibilitiesProvide person-centred, trauma-informed support to participants living with a range of disabilitiesAssist with personal care, including showering, toileting and continence supportSupport with manual handling, transfers and hoist useAssist with medication in line with MHC proceduresSupport community access, appointments, social activities and shared interestsAssist with meal preparation, household tasks and daily living skillsSupport participants with complex needs and behaviours of concernFollow behaviour support, risk management and safety plansMaintain accurate shift notes and incident reportsWork collaboratively with participants, families and the MHC teamAbout youExperience in disability or mental health supportStrong communication skills and a patient, empathetic,
non-judgmental approachAbility to follow support, risk management and safety plansNDIS Worker Screening ClearanceWorking with Children Check (or ability to obtain)Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR certificatesNational Police Check and the right to work in AustraliaValid driver's licence and a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insuranceAbout usMoreland Home Care is an established, family-run, registered NDIS provider based in Melbourne.
