The HYPAR Group is a collective of specialist organisations supporting young people, people with disability, and people seeking personal wellbeing and independence.We offer a range of tailored supports, including Mentoring, Supported Independent Living (SIL), Disability Support, Residential Care, Outdoor Mentorship and Adventure Activities to participants across South-East Queensland region.For further information about our organisation please visit our website the RoleHYPAR are looking for exceptional support workers/mentors to assist our participants to achieve their goals through leading and mentoring, and building relationships.Everyday can be a little different, but here at HYPAR the role of a support worker/mentor includes:Create meaningful change by empowering, informing and advocating for our participantsImplementing care plans, safety plans and behaviour support plans.Assisting our participants to access community and health care servicesPlanning, assisting and engaging participants in suitable activities.Provide domestic support, including but not limited to; house cleaning, laundry, cooking, budgeting, shopping, etc.Provide mental health support within a therapeutic framework to deliver quality care.Complete high-quality documentation to provide the NDIS and governing bodies with information relating to supports, incidences and funding needs.About YouWe're looking for Mentors who not only have the skills for the role but will provide a positive, secure space for our young people as we promote their growth and connection to the community.The ideal candidate will have:The desire to make a lasting difference in the lives of our participantsExceptional emotional intelligence, demonstrating initiative and flexibility, being able to build strong relationships with participants,
families and stakeholders.The ability to maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, and are proficient in the use of smart phones and computers.Strong professional boundaries, and the understanding of their importance.Ability to work a flexible roster, with availability in the mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Preference to have availability to do 1-2 sleep over shifts per week.
We are also looking for a mentor for overnight awake shifts.Knowledge of NDIS Guidelines for reasonable and necessary supports, and the NDIS Commission Quality and Safeguarding Framework.You will also be required to have or be willing to obtain:Minimum Certificate IV or higher in a relevant qualification - Highly regardedDisability Support Work or industry relevant experience - Highly RegardedPaid Blue CardPaid NDIS Disability Worker Screening (or valid yellow card)Child Safety background screening check (LCS2)Have access to a registered vehicle and full comprehensive insuranceOpen QLD Drivers Licence (International and P-Plate Licences will not be accepted)A working android or apple smartphonePlease ensure you meet ALL the minimum requirements above before applying.Benefits of Working at HYPARCareer and remuneration growth through various internal training coursesFlexible workplace with casual roles and close-to-home work options to promote work/life balanceHYPAR Wild activity days with our young people - Kayaking, abseiling, camping and more!
