Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, professional and reliable Receptionist to join our team at Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd – Kerrisdale Gardens in Beaconsfield, Mackay on a fixed-term, part-time basis to provide parental leave cover until 1 May ****.
As our receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, staff and external providers.
You will play an important role in creating a warm, welcoming and professional environment for everyone who enters our facility.
The position is 2 days per week – Thursday and Friday, 8:30am to 2:30pm, with the potential to provide additional cover when required.
Responsibilities:
Welcoming residents, families, visitors and contractors
Answering and directing telephone calls and enquiries
Managing reception and general administrative duties
Responding to emails and correspondence
Assisting with appointments, enquiries and visitor sign-in
Maintaining accurate records and documentation
Providing general administrative support to the facility and management team
Maintaining a professional, friendly and welcoming reception environment
Assisting with additional administrative tasks as required

Confident communicating with residents, families and staff
Organized and able to manage competing priorities
Comfortable using computers, email and Microsoft Office
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Respectful, patient and compassionate towards older people
Previous reception, administration or aged care experience will be highly regarded.
