Main Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth, efficient service
Supervise, train and mentor all levels of kitchen staff
Ensure all food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard
Manage food preparation and cooking processes during service periods
Monitor portion control, food quality and presentation standards
Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
Conduct regular kitchen inspections and enforce cleanliness standards
Manage stock levels, ordering and inventory control to minimize waste
Liaise with suppliers to ensure the quality of stock received is to our agreed standard
Control kitchen costs, including food cost, labour, and waste management
Manage, develop and implement standard recipes and procedures
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction




Handle customer feedback related to food quality and kitchen service
Ensure proper maintenance and safe use of kitchen equipment
Implement and enforce workplace health and safety procedures
Assist with rostering, staff scheduling, and performance management
Support the team to continuously improve kitchen operations, efficiency, team culture and team performance
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Chef, Cook, Pizza Chef or Pizza Cook in a fast-paced, high standard and high-volume kitchen
Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and develop team members
A genuine passion for food, creativity and hospitality
Understanding of kitchen financials, including COGS and labour control
High level of organisation and time management
Ability to perform under pressure without compromising standards
Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
