Create Solutions That Change Lives ForMotion Clinic Australia is seeking a Prosthetist with Upper limb focus to join our team.
This role is suited to an advanced clinician who combines strong prosthetic knowledge and clinical independence with a passion for delivering exceptional outcomes for people living with limb difference.About the RoleAs an experienced Prosthetist, you are responsible for delivering advanced prosthetic services that support clients in achieving their identified goals and outcomes, while providing clinical leadership and professional expertise across the organisation.
Responsibilities at this level are performed with a high degree of autonomy and professional judgement.
The clinician is expected to provide clinical leadership, advanced decision-making and support to less experienced clinicians while contributing to high-quality patient outcomes and service excellence.
While the role has a significant upper limb focus, the successful applicant will also contribute to the assessment, prescription and management of lower limb prosthetic patients, supporting a diverse and rewarding clinical caseload across our service.
This is an exciting opportunity to further develop specialised upper limb expertise while working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment that supports innovation, learning and qualified growth.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver assessment, prescription, fitting and review services across upper and lower limb prosthetic caseloadsManage complex congenital, traumatic and acquired limb difference presentationsProvide upper limb prosthetic assessment and rehabilitation services, including body-powered, myoelectric and emerging prosthetic technologiesMaintain broad clinical involvement in lower limb prosthetic management and rehabilitationCollaborate with surgeons, therapists,



rehabilitation physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomesApply advanced clinical reasoning and problem-solving to complex prosthetic presentationsSupport the evaluation and implementation of emerging prosthetic technologies and clinical approachesMentor and support graduate and early career clinicians through knowledge sharing and clinical guidanceContribute to service development, quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiativesBuild strong professional relationships with referrers, hospitals, rehabilitation services and funding bodiesParticipate in professional development, education and knowledge-sharing activities across the organisationUphold ForMotion values and competencies.Qualifications & ExperienceDegree qualification in Prosthetics and Orthotics from an Australian university or equivalent recognised qualificationEligible for, or holding current Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA) membershipDemonstrated prosthetic clinical experience across a broad range of patient presentationsExperience managing upper limb prosthetic patients or a strong commitment to developing advanced expertise in this areaStrong understanding of upper limb assessment, component selection and rehabilitation principlesAbility to independently manage a complex clinical caseloadWell-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skillsCommitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-informed practiceCurrent driver's licence.Why Join Formotion Clinic?
