The underground mine represents one of the world's cleanest and largest lead‐silver projects.The OpportunityWe're seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Mining team at Abra Mine Site.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will lead the safe expansion of our underground mine infrastructure, applying your rock mechanics and geotechnical expertise to keep our operations stable, compliant and performing at a high standard.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide geotechnical support to mining operations, including data collection, program planning, execution and ground stability design reviewEnsure geotechnical design requirements are addressed at extraction plan, stope note and development design sign-off stagesSupport the Underground Manager in implementing Ground Control Management Plans/PMHMP documentsLead ground support audits, QAQC monitoring and geotechnical data interpretation from underground mapping and core loggingConsult with external geotechnical advisors on modelling, reviews and management plans,



and drive continuous improvement across safety and mining performanceWhat You'll Bring5+ years' hands-on experience in geotechnical engineering within an underground mining environmentExperience with long hole open stoping and cemented pasteStrong understanding of the WA Mining Act, Regulations and WHS ActFamiliarity with mining software such as Deswik, Dips and UnwedgeProven ability to thrive and lead in a diverse, fast-paced operational environmentEssential RequirementsBachelor of Engineering or Science with a Geotechnical specialisationCurrent 'C' Class Western Australian driver's licence5+ years' relevant industry experience in underground mining geotechnical engineeringWho You AreYou bring depth of experience and sound judgement to ground control, and you're comfortable owning design sign-off and liaising directly with external consultants.
