The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals.
The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.The Health, Safety and Wellbeing team supports Ahpra's commitment to providing a safe, healthy and inclusive workplace for our people.
As part of the People and Culture Directorate, the team provides specialist advice and leadership across health, safety, wellbeing, risk management and compliance, while driving a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.We have a full time permanent opportunity available in any Ahpra office location, with a preference for Adelaide, Brisbane or Melbourne.As Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor, you will partner with leaders and stakeholders across Australia to strengthen workplace health, safety and wellbeing practices.Working with a national lens, you will provide advice across a broad range of HSW matters, support governance and committee functions, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen systems, reporting and organisational capability.
This is a varied role that combines strategic thinking with practical stakeholder engagement and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across a multi-site organisation.About youYou are an experienced HSW professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and driving positive change.A proactive self-starter, you are comfortable working independently while partnering with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You bring sound judgement, excellent communication skills and the ability to translate legislative, risk and compliance requirements into practical solutions.To be successful in this role,
