Our BAEG Western Australia Service Centre located in Acacia Ridge is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to support the service of our premium range of hydraulic hammers, attachments and rock breaking boom systems.

BAEG is an official distributor of Epiroc hydraulic hammers and demolition attachments, MTB Hydraulic hammers, Erkat Drum Cutters and GTS Rock Saws in Queensland, Northern Territory, Western Australia and Victoria.BAEG are the exclusive service and spare-parts agent for Transmin's range of Boomer HD Rockbreaking boom systems in Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Providing mechanical and hydraulic expertise to support the team both in the workshop and onsite.
The desired candidate will have relevant experience and a proven track record in delivering successful outcomes.
Your mechanical aptitude and hydraulic skills will allow you to become an integral part of the team.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Pre-deliver new equipment - strip,



assess and report on equipment repairs in accordance with manufacturer's manuals and drawings, conduct work in a timely manner to support the sales and service activities of the branch.
Carry out hydraulic installation of attachments on mobile and fixed plant equipment and accurately carry out flow and pressure checks using a flow meter during installation to ensure that the attachment always works as designed.
Read, understand and work accurately from General Assembly and Specific Engineered Drawings (Mechanical and Hydraulic).
Assembly, disassembly, troubleshooting and assessment/diagnosis of equipment provided to BA Equipment Group for service and repair.
Be willing to travel and work onsite for short periods of time as required for equipment installation and servicing.
ABOUT YOU
To excel in this role, the successful candidate will ideally have/demonstrate:
Relevant Mechanical Engineering Trade
A minimum of 5 years post trade experience in hydraulic equipment supply and service environment, within the industry (construction and or mining - fixed and mobile hydraulic machinery)
Fully independent tradesperson with a robust foundation skillset
Displays advanced communication skills,



including strong written and verbal communication, (internally and externally),
Has the ability to make complex decisions and solve complex problems across various work environments,
Assess the workmanship and performance of trades assistants, apprentices, and contractors
Heavily contributes to the effective planning and implementation of jobs, tasks, and projects, on time and on budget,
Champions our business's safety leadership of all workplace health and safety policies and procedures with all employees, contractors, and customers,
Holds all relevant HRW licenses, work permits and qualifications to perform work on construction and mining sites
Physically fit to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and DAS
A proficient and motivated work ethic
C/MR class license and Forklift license are essential
