Location: South West SydneyWork Arrangements: Part-Time – 30 hours a week with potential to transition to Full-TimeSalary: $90k -$100k plus super pro rataPerksRare part time opportunity within residential constructionTake ownership of the bookkeeping function within a growing builderOpportunity to transition to full-time as the business continues to expandAbout the CompanyOur client is a growing residential builder based in South West Sydney, delivering quality current homes and residential investment projects.
With a strong pipeline and continued plans for growth, they are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper who understands the construction industry and can take ownership of the day-to-day financial administration of the business.The RoleThis isn't a traditional bookkeeping position.
You'll work closely with management, suppliers and subcontractors and will need to understand how the financial side of a construction business operates.Your responsibilities will include:Managing accounts payable and receivableProcessing and coding supplier and subcontractor invoicesManaging supplier and subcontractor paymentsBank and credit card reconciliationsPayroll and superannuation administrationBAS and GST preparation, working alongside the external accountantMonitoring outstanding invoices and accounts receivableAssisting with cash flow reporting and financial administrationTracking project costs and allocating expenses to the correct jobsReviewing invoices against purchase orders and project requirementsAssisting with job costing,



progress claims and project financialsMaintaining supplier and subcontractor recordsSupporting management with financial reportingIdentifying opportunities to improve financial processes and systemsAbout YouConstruction or trade industry experience is essential for this position.
You'll understand the terminology and financial processes involved in working with suppliers, subcontractors, purchase orders, variations, progress claims and project costs.Ideally, you'll bring:Previous bookkeeping experience within residential construction, building, trades, development, civil or a closely related industryStrong understanding of job costing and construction-related financial administrationExperience with Xero and strong Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent attention to detail and financial accuracyConfidence working independently and taking ownership of your roleStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesProfessional communication skills when dealing with suppliers, trades and subcontractorsA proactive approach and ability to identify discrepancies before they become problemsWhy Join4-day working week with the potential to move into full-timeJoin a growing residential builder with a strong pipeline of workTake genuine ownership of the bookkeeping and financial administration functionWork closely with management and have visibility across the wider businessOpportunity to improve processes and systems as the company continues to growLong-term opportunity to become a key member of the teamHow to ApplyInterested?
