Introduction
Marubeni-Itochu Tubulars Oceania is seeking an experienced and analytical Inventory Analyst to join our Inventory team in Brisbane.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems and collaborating across different parts of the business. Reporting to the Head of Inventory, you will help maintain accurate inventory information, monitor stock availability and movements, support operational and commercial planning, and identify practical ways to strengthen our inventory processes and controls.

Description
As our Inventory Analyst, you will play an important role in ensuring our inventory information is accurate, reliable and useful for decision-making.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate inventory and item master data across D365, our inventory management system (Tubestream) and other relevant systems
- Coordinating cyclical stock counts and validating count results
- Reviewing stock transfers, adjustments, conversions and other inventory transactions
- Investigating inventory discrepancies and coordinating corrective actions
- Monitoring stock availability, incoming inventory, open purchase orders and expected delivery dates
- Preparing and maintaining inventory reports to support operational, procurement and commercial planning
- Identifying potential shortages, excess stock, delays and emerging supply risks
- Working across Logistics, Procurement, Operations, Quality and Commercial teams to resolve inventory-related issues
- Communicating stock availability, expected deliveries and inventory concerns to relevant stakeholders
- Supporting improvements to inventory accuracy, traceability, accountability and control
- Assisting with trials of barcoding, QR tagging and improved stock-handling processes
- Documenting and standardising practical inventory processes and controls.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to both our day-to-day inventory performance and the development of scalable inventory systems and processes for our future warehouse and yard requirements.

Skills And Experiences
The right candidate will have:
- Valid Australian working rights
- At least two years’ experience in inventory, supply chain, procurement or similar
- Strong analytical, numeracy and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence working with inventory and ERP data
- Experience working across functions
