ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a skilled ROLLER SHUTTER INSTALLER to join our dedicated team. In this hands-on position, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing roller shutters, ensuring every job is completed safely and to the highest standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Measure doors and openings accurately for roller shutter installations
- Install manual and electric roller shutters following manufacturer specifications
- Prepare work areas to maintain a safe and professional installation environment
- Remove existing shutters and upgrade or replace damaged systems
- Diagnose and repair faults in shutters, motors, tracks, springs, and controls
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing
- Interpret measurements, plans, and installation instructions effectively
- Use hand and power tools safely and correctly
- Communicate professionally with customers, providing clear guidance on operation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
- Complete all required job documentation including paperwork, measurements, and reports
- Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety procedures and Australian Standards

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Previous experience installing roller shutters, security doors, blinds, or windows
- Strong practical and mechanical aptitude with an eye for precision
- Competence with hand and power tools, including arc welding or mild steel work
- Basic electrical or mechanical knowledge is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Effective communication and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
- Current driver's licence; forklift and scissor lift licences are advantageous
- White card and relevant trade qualifications or licences are desirable
