We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer specialising in Mechanical Commissioning, particularly in Ventilation and MVAC systems, to join our dynamic team in Melbourne. This contract role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of projects within the building and construction industry, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background and a proven track record in project management, ensuring that all mechanical systems are commissioned to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical commissioning process for ventilation and MVAC systems on various construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure project specifications are met.
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of commissioning activities, including reports and compliance records.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
- Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the commissioning process in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to throughout the commissioning phase.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical commissioning, specifically in ventilation and MVAC systems.
- Proven experience in project management within the building and construction industry.
- Strong understanding of relevant Australian standards and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
