This is a 3-year fixed-term contract position offering the opportunity to lead and support a primary teaching team (Years 3-6) at St Anne's Campus, Gippsland Grammar. As Team Leader, you will combine your teaching expertise with leadership responsibilities, working under the direction of the Head of Junior School and in collaboration with the Deputy Head of Campus and Head of Learning – Primary.
You will have dedicated time release (0.2FTE) and a POR monetary allowance of 4% of Teacher salary level 9, to support your additional responsibilities beyond normal classroom teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead your allocated team in delivering high-quality primary education aligned with school and campus goals
- Support the operation and development of your campus area, particularly in relation to team coordination and performance
- Foster a strong wellbeing culture within your team and among students
- Engage with the wider school community and participate in school events and activities as a senior representative
- Work collaboratively with leadership colleagues to ensure alignment with school vision and values
- Contribute to the leadership of the wider campus under the guidance of the Head of Junior School
About You
You are a passionate and inspirational teacher with strong organisational and interpersonal skills. You hold a valid Australian driver's licence (minimum probationary)
and exhibit personal behaviour reflective of the Anglican ethos of Gippsland Grammar. You are an effective communicator with the ability to build rapport with both adults and students, work independently and collaboratively, and manage well under pressure.
Desirable Qualities
- Demonstrated high-level organisational skills in a Junior School environment
- Strong ICT capability and willingness to engage with technology
- Ability to encourage full participation in school life and activities
- Experience of working in a team-leadership capacity
