Part-Time / Full-Time

About Us

We are a well-established, community-focused medical practice bringing together GPs, specialists and allied health professionals to care for our local community.

We are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable receptionist who enjoys helping people and takes pride in getting the details right.

Medical reception experience is desirable, but we also welcome applicants with experience in customer service, reception, administration or managing bookings and appointments. Your ability to make people feel welcome, learn new systems and keep things running smoothly is just as key.

We are open to both part-time and full-time applicants. Some Saturdays may be required on a rotating roster, from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

The Role

You will support patients and clinicians with the day-to-day running of our practice, including but not limited to:

- Welcoming patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism
- Managing appointment bookings and patient enquiries
- Answering calls and managing emails and correspondence
- Processing payments, billing and receipting, including Medicare, DVA and third-party accounts
- Maintaining accurate patient details and records

- Working closely with our medical, nursing and allied health teams
- Scanning, filing, data entry and general administration
- Keeping reception tidy and organised
- Performing ECGs following full training, with support from our clinical team

About You

We would love to hear from you if you:

- Enjoy helping people. You are friendly, approachable and patient, with clear communication skills and a helpful manner.
- Stay organised when things get busy. You can manage bookings, calls and competing tasks while paying attention to detail.
- Are confident with computers. You are comfortable using different programs and switching between systems. Best Practice experience is an advantage.
- Take initiative and enjoy learning. You pick up new processes, use available resources to work things out and ask questions when you need guidance.
- Understand the importance of accuracy and privacy. You check details carefully and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Are a dependable teammate. You follow through on tasks, work well independently and support your colleagues.
