Our team's commitment and dedication continue to drive our success, making Royans a rewarding place to build your career.

We are seeking a skilled and qualified panel beater, or a committed 3rd-4th year apprentice, to join our workshop team in a full-time role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in panel beating, while apprentices will have the opportunity to further develop their practical skills and industry knowledge.

About the Role:

In this full-time role, you will work on heavy and light vehicles, drawing on your trade qualifications in panel beating or similar. You will effectively collaborate within a team setting while also demonstrating the capability to work independently when needed. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential, as is your commitment to maintaining workplace policies and adhering to WHS standards. While a background in heavy vehicles is preferred, it is not a requirement for this position.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Removing, repairing, and replacing panels and components
- Repairing dents, scratches, and other exterior damage
- Prepping surfaces for painting and refinishing
- Stripping and refitting heavy-duty trim and body components, ensuring everything fits securely
- Working closely with painters, estimators, and your team to deliver results on schedule
- Always following Work Health & Safety (WHS) policies and procedures
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop

For trade-qualified applicants:

- Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology, or an equivalent trade qualification
- Sound technical skills and experience in panel repair, body repair and component fitment

For 3rd-4th year apprentice applicants:

- Currently completing a Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology, or a similar relevant apprenticeship
- Demonstrated practical experience and developing knowledge in panel repair, vehicle body repair or component fitment
- A willingness to learn, take direction and continue developing your trade skills

For all applicants:

- Heavy vehicle experience or knowledge is preferred but not essential
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual and able to work positively as part of a team
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
