The Opportunity
Our Home & Living Services operate on a 24/7 basis, with flexibility and availability to work a range of shifts across mornings, afternoons and evenings including overnight and sleepover shifts across the Eurobodalla region. We are offering a range of rewarding part‑time opportunities for exceptional and passionate Disability Support Workers to provide supports within our Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Independent Living Options (ILO) space.
Working within our services you will bring your genuine desire to provide high-quality, person‑centred support and use a creative approach in enabling an inclusive experience for people with disability in their home and in the community. You will have a strong focus on building participants independent living skills and increasing social connections through community participation and employment.
Whilst every day brings current challenges, the day‑to‑day duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Providing daily living and personal care support - showering, toileting, dressing and household duties.
- Preparing and assisting with meal preparation and feeding.
- Administering medication and offering mobility assistance including the use of lifts & hoists.
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date record keeping and shift notes.
- Supporting participants with attendance at appointments and community based events.
- Offering meaningful and active support to enable participants to achieve their goals.
The hourly part-time rate is between $36.22 and $39.53 (plus superannuation) and the casual rate is between $45.28 and $49.41 (inclusive of casual loading plus superannuation),
dependent upon relevant qualification and experience.
What do I need to succeed in the role?
- Strong interpersonal skills and initiative to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- The ability to stay calm and be adaptable in challenging situations.
- An understanding of privacy and confidentiality and how to treat sensitive information appropriately.
- Confidence using a range of technical platforms to complete shift notes, incident reporting and electronic timesheets.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work shifts across mornings, afternoons, evenings and overnights (sleepover shifts) as well as weekends.
- Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screening Check, valid Australian working rights, NSW Drivers Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- To be successful in this position, you will be required to have availability to attend a 2-week onboarding training commencing early November 2026.
