Nebo Energy PTY LTD is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to join our team in Canberra, ACT. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to launch your career in the electrical trades. As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced electricians, developing practical skills and theoretical knowledge whilst contributing to the delivery of quality electrical services to our clients. This role is essential in building the next generation of skilled tradespeople and represents a significant step in your professional journey within the electrical industry.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting qualified electricians on residential, commercial and industrial electrical projects
- Learning and applying safe electrical installation practices and techniques under supervision
- Preparing work sites, organising tools and materials, and maintaining a clean and secure working environment
- Installing, testing and troubleshooting electrical wiring, components and systems
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, blueprints and technical specifications
- Conducting basic electrical testing and measurements using appropriate tools and equipment
- Complying with all relevant electrical codes, safety regulations and company procedures
- Assisting with preventative maintenance and repair work on electrical systems
- Attending formal training and theory components of the electrical apprenticeship programme
- Developing communication skills by liaising with supervisors, colleagues and clients on site

What we're looking for

- A keen interest in the electrical trades and a genuine passion for learning practical skills
- Year 10 or equivalent education, with strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work safely and follow health and safety procedures at all times




- Good physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when following technical instructions
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude towards work
- Willingness to obtain or hold a valid driver's licence
- No prior electrical experience required; we will provide comprehensive on-the-job training
- Ideally, completion of a pre-apprenticeship electrical course or similar qualification would be advantageous
