We are offering a consistent 5-day-per-week position , responsible for the end-of-day or end-of-shift deep cleaning of our bakery production facilities, kitchen equipment, retail area and staff spaces.

Cleanliness, hygiene and food safety are essential to our operations. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of maintaining high cleaning standards in a food production environment and can work independently to ensure our facilities are clean, sanitised and ready for the next day's operations.

Key responsibilities

- Perform thorough end-of-day or end-of-shift cleaning of bakery production areas and facilities.

- Deep-clean kitchen equipment, workbenches, preparation areas and food-contact surfaces in accordance with cleaning procedures.

- Clean and sanitise floors, walls, sinks and other surfaces as required.





- Maintain the cleanliness of the retail area, customer spaces, staff areas and amenities.

- Follow established cleaning schedules and food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures.

- Safely use commercial cleaning products and equipment in accordance with instructions.

- Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are maintained and stored appropriately.

- Complete cleaning duties efficiently and consistently to ensure the premises are ready for the next trading or production day.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous professional cleaning experience is essential , preferably in a commercial kitchen, bakery, café, food production or similar setting.

- A strong understanding of cleaning, sanitisation and hygiene standards.

- Knowledge of safe handling and use of commercial cleaning chemicals.

- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain high cleaning standards.

- The ability to work independently, manage time effectively and follow cleaning checklists.

- A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.

- The ability to work in a busy food production environment and carry out physically demanding cleaning duties, including standing, bending and lifting as required.

- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Experience working in a food manufacturing or food-handling environment will be highly regarded.
