High Intensity/Complex Care Support Worker

High Intensity Support Worker - experience essential

Newcastle & Northern Lake Macquarie | Casual | 20–30 hours per week

ABCARE Disability Support is an established, family-owned disability support provider with a strong reputation for personalised support, quality care and building genuine relationships with the people we support.

We are looking for an experienced High Intensity Support Worker to join our team and provide quality, person-centred support to participants across Newcastle and Northern Lake Macquarie.

The successful applicant will be offered approximately 20–30 hours per week on a casual basis, with the opportunity to transition to permanent employment on successful completion of probation.

About the role

You will provide hands-on support to participants with a range of complex support needs, which may include:

High intensity personal care

Complex health and disability support

Manual handling, transfers and hoisting

Enteral feeding and PEG support

Epilepsy and seizure management

Medication support

Community access and participation

Supporting individual routines, goals and care plans

Accurate progress notes and documentation

To be considered for this position, you must have:

Relevant disability, community services, health or equivalent qualifications

Previous experience providing high intensity or complex disability support

Current First Aid and CPR certification

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check





Current Working With Children Check

Recent Police Check (within the past 3 months/ or willingness to obtain)

Completion of required NDIS worker training modules

Relevant high-intensity support training and competencies where required

Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle

A sound understanding of participant rights, dignity, privacy and NDIS requirements

Excellent communication and documentation skills

A genuine commitment to person-centred support

Attention to detail and strong initiative

Employment: Casual, with permanent opportunity
Hours: 20–30 hours per week, including a combination of morning, afternoon, evening and alternate weekend shifts.
