Join Our Culinary Team at QAGOMAWe are seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. Working across QAG Cafe, GOMA Bistro and QAGOMA Catering & Events, you will gain experience across cafe and la carte dining, exhibition openings, corporate functions, weddings, VIP events and large-scale catering.Working alongside experienced chefs and kitchen leaders, you will support the preparation, production and service of high-quality food while developing your technical skills and skilled experience. We value teamwork, inclusivity, professionalism and a positive workplace culture, with a strong focus on quality, food safety and work-life balance.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist senior chefs with food preparation, production and service across QAGOMA venues and catered eventsPrepare and present dishes to the standards set by the Executive ChefFollow recipes, preparation lists, portion controls and kitchen proceduresMaintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with QAGOMA's Food Safety Program and the Food Act 2006Follow Workplace Health and Safety requirements and safe work practicesAssist with receiving, storing, rotating and handling food products correctlyMaintain clean, organised and well-prepared work areasCommunicate effectively and contribute to a respectful, professional kitchen cultureWork across a rotating 7-day roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays as requiredEmployment DetailsThis is a casual position.
